Production Plan

The Brief.

As a group. Comprising of Blake, Morgan, and myself. Create an electronic midi rap/hiphop track that incorporates custom synths, custom recorded drum samples, custom made fx synths and sound effects to the standards of the industry in mp3 form. Week 1

The week of planning Week 1 will consist of forming a team, research into topics and ideas for the project, once the plan is formed, the team will plan execution Week 2 Drums

Getting the drums started early is very important to the sound of the piece, getting a nice clean drum sound that can be added into the sampler over the next 2 weeks Morgan will be taking most of this part of the project after the initial recording is done together to get the recordings chopped and sample size.

Week 3

Synths

Getting the synths will be the next priority, I will be spearheading this part of the project myself, creating custom synth patches I expect a lot of experimentation to go into this so I've also given myself 2 weeks to get this done. With the help of Blake, who is working on both the vocals and the FX synths

Week 4

Vocals

By week 4 the outline that I've composed should now have the drums and possibly the synths, if not we'll use the outlined midi track to help record the vocals Hopefully this can be done in 1 studio session, Since we already know what we want to do with the vocals.

Week 5 Tweaking/Begin Post Production

Week 5 will be the catch up and tweak everything week. We will all come together with what we have, assemble the parts and tweak anything that doesn't fit, this will be the start of post production, this week will also be used as the help week. If someone is behind I will use this week to help out and catch everyone up to speed.

Week 6 Post Production

The official week for post production, which for the most part we will be doing all together at this stage

Week 7

Present.

By Week 7 we will have completed the song in all it's glory, An industry standard rap song made from scratch.
