This week was off to a shaky start when the monday meeting didn't occur due to the Public Holiday. I caught up on wednesday with the group to see how they were going with their parts in the project, we will catch everyone up on monday at the next meeting.
The majority of the midi track for the synth midi is complete or at least the guide track, the plan is to then use the Raven Studio to re create the synths and mix them back in. A preview of which can be seen here
Which is an on going catalogue of change throughout the creation of this song in chronological order down the page. This is subject to change, I have already made adjustments to the tone of the lead synth for example there was too much distortion. The elements of the main synth include an FM Sine, an FM Square wave, and a Sawtooth wave made in the ES2 synthesiser. The first sine wave is an octave higher to give it's characteristic squeal, The square wave is 24s higher to fill in higher frequencies but also to give a rougher feel to the sound being 2 octaves and 2 steps out The high pass cutoff is automated throughout the song to lift and move the song,

This lead synth will be backed up by some bass/sine wave synths and is subject to change in the raven studio, but the sound of the synth is fairly nice.
