Update - 3 track EP

In the 4 hour studio session I had in the c24 I recorded the scratch tracks for the ep. I recorded 3 songs with each the guitar and vocals sung separately. The guitar was recorded with an XY neumann U87's and the vocals with an AKG 414. What I found was that the sound of the guitar is almost perfect, but her vocals are quite loud and she feels more comfortable with holding a mic so I may have to reconsider my choice in microphones for something more hand held.
After a successful guide track had been laid down on tuesday I got a better understanding on the direction I first envisioned. When coming up for an approach to this style of music I thought to myself what better style of music than the early 2000's pop that used acoustic elements. So I've decided to do my case study on the song steer by missy higgins, in order to achieve a similar style from her great song.
The pitch went well overall I think I got the point across, however I may not have been as specific as I should have been with some things. To start with I should have made the pitch a little more aesthetically pleasing. But i also should have included what kind of budget I would have for the total venture.
