ANTA - Sound Replacement

I've chosen the ANTA (Nike Rip) shoe commercial and this is my first update to the project

The brief was "Like playing tennis in outer space" and guide tracks of transformers were offered. Initially from that brief I knew what direction I wanted to go. I wanted lots of filtered bass notes mixed with a few higher pitched hits of the racquet. Overall I though adding lots of reverb would create a large open space. Though in real life there would be no echo or reverb in space it's a very common trope in movies to add some in order to create the perception of space.

In order to make the bass sounds I started with a bass horn preset and mixed it with some white noise for the higher freq. then I ran it through an autofilter plugin. Using an LFO to create a slight pulsing effect to the sound. This gives a very eery feel to it.

After this I sent the sounds through a send to a reverb, in this case a preset called botta church. Which gives a large space and a long tail (6.5s) and balanced the output to what I liked.

This sound is what I wanted from the bass tones, and I use this in sections throughout the piece. This is just one of the sounds I have in this piece.
